So much to discuss, so little time. Hey, you get three gueses as to why I'm running late for work... 1) I regret not posting this yesterday, but I forgot that it was happening. Last night ABC ran an episode of LOST called "The Journey" that more or less summed up all activity on the island since the show began. I was a little disappointed that the flashbacks weren't included as they're generlly key to the creepiness factor of everything else, but still it would have been a great thing to see for those who wished they would have started watching in the beginning of the season but didn't want to jump on board mid stream. I'm so pumped for the last 3... Needless to say, more info will follow in the coming weeks. 2) I watched 2 eps of Deadwood season 1 last night, and found them to, wait, what's the expression? Kick ass? Yeah, that's it. In the first 10 minutes you see a doctor inspect a gunshot victim by inserting a metal rod directly through his head! Ha. Ian McShane might just be the villian for the new millienium (despite his character existing last century). But what I really liked was the notion that if even 15% of the show is true then its completely remarkable what has happened in America in the past 150 years. I can't think of a western I've seen that has done as good of a job as Deadwood has done when it comes to illustrating just what it was like to live in a lawless prospecting town in the late 1800s-- well, maybe "McCabe and Mrs. Miller" (which, sans the violence, might be a fair comparison). I'm excited to see the rest. Unfortunately, thanks to my damaged "Croupier" DVD I may not get my Deadwood discs until late next week. I did have disc 1 in the mail by 7am though. 3) Anyone want to see "H2G2" tomorrow afternoon? Or go to the Apple store for that matter and pick up a tiger?
